The previous thought about how he had been degraded to a babysitter suddenly drifted back to the forefront of his mind. Yes, he remembered Shinning mentioning the boy had just been released from the hospital – that he was suffering from a sever bout of amnesia for some reason or another. Camus didn’t take it upon himself to figure out all the details surrounding the new arrivals accident; all the Count needed to know was that the young man before him, Kisaragi, was to be his second pupil. So far the teal haired individual had made a much more positive impression on the strict senpai then his other kouhai had, and Camus almost let himself feel relief over having a kouhai that seemed to take him seriously. He studied Aine for a few more moments, sizing the boy up before motioning with a flick of a hand for Aine to follow behind him.

“I have been informed of your conditions, but that will not allow you a handicap. If you can’t keep up with my criteria then please, you’re more than welcome to drop out; one less insolent child the better.”

Camus made a sharp turn to the right, entering a hall lined fully by windows on one side while the other side supported multiple doors leading into various rooms. Like the foyer, the hallway was richly decorated to show off the president’s immense wealth. A thick, red carpet rolled down the middle of the tiled floor, and medium sized chandeliers hung at even intervals all down the length of the hall. Golden and bronze plaques were molded to the wall beside each door in order to give the passerby an idea of what was to be expected inside each one.

“The master course was designed with the intention of helping newly debuted idols flourish in the entertainment world. As we all know, idols come and go like the tide – some lasting longer than others, and some fading in the blink of an eye. Here, each amateur is mentored by a professional – in a senpai/kouhai fashion as I’ve stated earlier. It is the senpai’s job to educate, mold, polish, and define our kouhai’s individual talents in order for our kouhai’s to be successful once they graduate from the Master Course. For this term, the senpai’s are the members of the group QUARTETNIGHTand most of the kouhai’s hail from the recently debuted STRISH.”

The Count paused before a door. On the plaque beside it, three names were embroidered on the bronze plates: Camus on top, Aijima Cecil in the middle, and Kisaragi Aine at the bottom.

“This is our dorm. Unless it is time to retire for the night, or should mitigating circumstances occur, you should not be found in the room. Most assignments and activities I assign are hands-on and must be completed outside the dorm room. As for rules, the main one enforced upon all of us by the president, Shinning, is that under no circumstances is romantic involvement with another individual permitted. Should you be found courting, you will immediately be expelled – no exceptions.”

Opening the door, Camus gliding into the cool room and gestured for Aine to follow suit. Since Camus now had two kouhai studying under him, he was now permitted to move in bunk beds the two young pupils would be sleeping on (much like how the other kouhai’s slept). As of yet, Camus suspected that Cecil hadn’t a clue as to the new sleeping arrangements, seeing as the brash young prince hadn’t come storming up to him to demand where his ridiculously large bed had gone.

“Oh and one more thing,” icy blue eyes locked with Aime’s darker blue orbs with all seriousness, “do not touch the conditioning unit.”

“I understand completely, Camus,” Aine nodded, following his newly acquired mentor. Camus was definitely a strict person, but Aine couldn’t blame his imposing nature. He gazed around the elegantly ornamented, wealthy, vast hallway; this was clearly a place where expectations were to be met. Aine himself, couldn’t even believe that he had worked here before the accident. If he were to meet the expectations to debut again, he would have to exceed his previous self by 120 percent.

Failure, would mean that he had failed his past self, and put his previous work to shame. Aine swore to himself that he would accomplish whatever his past goals were.

He closely paid attention to Camus’s lecture, making a mental note to himself to ask the blonde senior later who the other inhabitants of the dorm were.

QUARTETNIGHT and STRISH…” Aine repeated, “So you are in QUARTETNIGHT and I assume my colleague is in STRISH.”

He took a moment to observe the plaques and remember the names. (He was utmost grateful he was not inflicted with anterograde amnesia OTHERWISE that would be troublesome.)

As Camus continue to explain the rules, Aine noted the information down to remember dearly. The no-romance rule was the most particular one he could understand and kept to heart.

From what he researched while recovering and from Camus’s words: if an idol wanted to be successful, then he would wholeheartedly dedicate himself to his work. Romances took too much commitment and also led to potential scandals. Aine wanted to succeed, no matter what, and that meant he would forsake any chances of blooming romances.

The tealette stepped into their shared room and a cool blast of air overwhelmed him. Where had this cold come from-?! He took one glance at the conditioning unit and back to Camus’s formidable wintry gaze. Oh.

“Er… May I ask what kind of assignments will I receive, Camus?”
