Camus merely glanced at Aine from where he sat in his favored patio chair, waving a hand dismissively as if shopping for living necessities were not such a big deal.
“Yes, and I shall accompany you. We will get around to that later, should you feel up to it. Now, we will start here.” Camus pushed himself up and gestured to the green field stretching out before them for what seemed like miles, “What you see before you is the grounds of the Saotome Gakuen’s Master Course section. Participants of the Master Course have free reign over them, and as such can do as they please - whether for professional or recreational usage.”
For the next two hours and something minutes, Camus led Aine through the winding halls of the dorms and living spaces of those participating in the Master Course. Throughout the entire thing, Camus acted with the chivalry of a gentleman; even if he had said that the boy’s medical conditions would not allot him a handicap, the Count was ever weary of the older man’s condition. Though he didn’t do anything outward to reveal that information, Camus made sure to stop and rest whenever he realized Aine seemed to be lagging behind – always using it as a guise to elaborate more about the room they had stepped into.
“We shall take a break now for tea,” Camus stated once they had made their way back to their shared dorm, “go out on the balcony and make yourself comfortable. I shall go and acquire our beverage. In an hour we shall leave campus grounds and venture into the city in order to supply you with your needed materials. If we have time, we will make a stop at the studio in order to test your skills. When I return I will elaborate upon what I will be testing you on.”
The count waited for his Kouhai to disappear into the room before heading towards the kitchen in order to prepare their accommodations. After he had prepared the tea, he made sure to acquire a few snacks to go along with it (small tea sandwiches, sweets, etc) in case the boy needed something to sate his appetite should he be hungry. The Count returned to the balcony soon enough and sat the tray carrying everything down. He handed Aine an expensive looking china cup before filling the dish with steaming liquid, doing the same for himself before he too took his seat.
“Please help yourself to anything. For today you are my guest, but tomorrow onwards you shall be my Kouhai.”
Aine felt he was definitely out of shape once they went through the entire tour. Having been unconscious for two years, his muscles definitely felt atrophied. However, he was more than happy that he was able to learn more about the campus grounds.
Sitting down into the balcony chair as he waited for Camus to return, Aine mused what memories of his lied around the corridors and hidden in each room here. He would have to wait and see.
When his mentor returned with their tea and a few snacks, Aine was grateful, having felt a bit famished from today's excursion.
“Thank you very much, Camus.” Placing the tea down to the table, Aine noticed the spring wind blew his messy hair into his eyes and found it quite annoying. Pulling out a spare hairband from his shirt pocket, the tealette pulled his hair back into a messy ponytail so it wouldn’t obscure his vision. He took one sandwich from the plates and began nibbling on it. Delicious.
It was silent for a quite few moments, and Aine decided he should strike up a small conversation with his mentor. Finishing his sandwich with relish (he was actually more famished than he thought!), he blew on his tea and sipped a little, before looking back up at Camus.
“I’m curious to know… who are the other members of QUARTET★NIGHT?
