So the clone had decided to dodge his questions with one of his own, huh? Two could play at that game, if only Ai had the time. Instead, the idol searched his database for a facial recognition of the stranger, only to come out with a window with -No Match Found- written in it. He lowered his eyebrows, showing irritation as he was unable to identify the other.
“I’m sorry, but I don’t have time ri—” He started when suddenly, a midi of Triangle Beat resonated in the room. It was his cellphone. Without even having to check, Ai knew that it was the music producer trying to contact him, thanks to syncing his phone with himself. It was a perk to being a machine.
If only the stranger hadn’t been present, he would’ve just picked up the line through his built in cellular reception. However, he was to look as human as possible, and casually pulled out the cyan flip phone hidden in his blue jacket’s pocket. Flipping the case open, the teen turned away from the stranger to answer the call. “Mikaze Ai, speaking.”
“Ah, hello Mikaze-san, this is Ashikawa Mitsuru, you’re music producer. I’m sorry, but we will have to cancel for this afternoon. Is it possible to reschedule for tomorrow?” The other side of the line asked. Ai had put this into his calculations, so the boy was not at all surprised.
“I see, that’s unfortunate. Yes, that’s fine.” He answered politely, a totally different demeanor from how he spoke with the clone. “Then I will see you tomorrow. Thank you.” And that he closed the phone with a sigh. There goes Schedule A. Luckily, he constructed 10 others in case something like this happened. Schedule A.1 uploaded.
Turning back to face the clone again, Ai wore his usual poker face. Perhaps the stranger before him was a fan. If, so he would be required to answer the tealette’s question. What moves you to sing? Honestly, nothing. He was created to be a singing robot and that was his one and only purpose in ‘life’. However, that would be an inappropriate answer.
“I’ve always loved singing, ever since I can remember. So, I’m not too sure what moves me to sing. It just comes naturally.” Ai answered, as honestly as he could without revealing anything. “Now that I have answered your question, can you answer mine? Who are you? If you don’t want to answer, please leave. I am very busy.” He told the other, business as usual. Instead of recording for the afternoon, he changed it to just regular practice, since he had the room. But, this stranger was taking up his time. The idol wanted to get rid of him as quickly as possible, if they weren’t going to provide him with answers.
Mikaze… Ai. Even our names are similar.
Aine heard the other boy’s name, and felt this wasn’t a coincidence. From what he knew, Mikaze Ai was one of Camus’s bandmates in QUARTET★NIGHT. It would explain why his senior had looked at him familiarly for a moment.
Strange things in the world were always bound to happen. This meeting was one of them. This ‘accident’ he was in… was also not just a simple incident. There were many things he questioned about it, but no one gave him an answer.
Aine wanted his memories back and know the complete truth.
After Ai had finished his phone call and turned back to him, Aine quietly listened to his rather-terse answer.
“If it’s natural… then why do you seem to limit yourself…?” he frowned at Ai, but then quickly apologized, “I’m sorry, forget I asked that.”
He was in no place to question another singer’s passion. Lowering his head to bow to the idol, he introduced himself.
“My name is Kisaragi Aine, and I’ve recently enrolled to the Master Course. My senior is Camus.”

“Then think of it as my gratitude for taking me here then,” Aine replied back dryly. His annoyed feeling returned back...
