Spring Winds [Kohaku & Aine]

amberperfection:

She sees them in every electronic store she goes into. She sees them in a variety of shapes, colors, and sizes. She needs them to get up every morning. They are ubiquitous—she just can’t get rid of them! Yes, these things, unfortunately, are her companion for life. They innocently sit patiently at her bedside—waiting for their important time of the day to annoy the heck out of her. Yes, it is none other than alarm clock.

Kohaku eyelids flew as the irritating noise rang exactly next to her left ear. The green LED showing the number 07:00. She didn’t even move a muscle, just staring at the white ceiling high up there. The pink haired girl has already grown accustomed to it. The first time she used the goddammed clock, she actually fell down from her bed and almost had a heart attack. Her eldest brother bought it especially for her since he know how his youngest most spoiled sister has it with punctuality in the mornings. Kohaku had tried to get rid of it for a few times—including dropping it from her three stories apartment—yet that godforsaken thing kept appearing beside her bed.

After several minutes of non-stop irritating noise, Kohaku reached her arm to the bedside and violently smacked the snooze button without mercy. Then she proceeded to gather her bathing supplies and went into her private bathroom. Kohaku must admit she was relieved when she found out that every student would have their own personal bathroom in their room when she first arrived at the dormitory. Who knows what kind of photos will spread if the students find out how Kohaku’s face look without any make-up. It’s not that she is that ugly, make up is one of her many self-esteem booster. Kohaku learnt it from her mother that without make up, a girl couldn’t be perfect.

After an hour of self-pampering in her safe haven, the pink haired girl proceeded to get dressed and grabbed her tote bag—the latest and probably most expensive one of her collection, of course—she went out of her room casually and stretched her body, inhaling the sweet scent of cherryblossoms that the spring breeze carried.

Well well… What should i do now?

Aine gave a soft sigh, flipping the Japanese-English dictionary and scribbling down English words into his paper. The tealette was sitting on a bench near the school, working on his assignments. Beside him, was neat pile of work he had finished for Camus.

Suppuri- Spring winds…

Aine pronounced the foreign English words slowly and carefully. The words sounded weird and strange, mainly because he was not fluent with English. Unlike Camus who was from the Country of Permafrost and Cecil, who was Prince of Agnapolis, Aine was just an average 25-year-old man who was born in Japan supposedly.

However, much like Cecil was improving his Japanese to sing, Camus wanted Aine to learn a bit of English to add more variety to his lyrics. Aine wasn’t sure if he had knew English before he was stricken with amnesia, but learning it again wouldn’t hurt.

After writing down spring winds, he went on to the next words. Gentle Kiss.

G-gentle kissu… Ah!” Suddenly, a gust of wind blew apart his pile of assignments. Quickly, he jumped up from his seat, scrambling to grab his pages back.

“Oh no!”
