Natsuki listened intently to the tealette as he began to continue his departure from the room, nearing closer and closer to the door. He raised a slight brow seeing him turn around once more.
Because we’re friends now… right?
The smile that encompassed Natsuki’s features grew by tenfold and he nodded at Aine, “Of course we’re friends now, silly.” The blonde was ecstatic about making a new friend. He found himself already quite fond of this newcomer.
He chuckled quietly and then eyed the duckling plush within the older man’s arms, “And that’s why I want you to not just borrow him but have him,” he started, “Because, then you can have a friend for whenever I’m not there!”
The blonde readjusted his glasses once more and waved to Aine one last time for the day, “Ne, I’ll see you next time~!” he said, “Take care, Aine-chan!”
“Well then, see you tomorrow, Natsuki-kun.”
Aine gave him a gentle smile and waved before leaving the room. Camus and Cecil were probably waiting for him to return. Calling a taxi home, Aine looked forward to tomorrow.

The next day.
“Excuse me, I am visiting Shinomiya Natsuki. Could you please direct me to his room?”
After the nurse signed the tealette in and gave him directions, Aine walked through the halls, holding a folder of his assignments and a distinctive yellow duck plushie. Hesitantly, he put his hand against the door that he was sure was his new friend’s room.
I wonder if he’s expecting me.
Taking a breath, Aine gently knocked on the door.
