Bracing herself for the rough impact of the ground, Rin closed her eyes tightly, clenching her fists. Eventually, she fell. But what confused her the most is that she hadn’t necessarily fallen on the ground.. instead, she fell on a human. Embarrassed, the ravenette struggled to get to her feet. She noticed a crowd began to draw in.
Once she got to her feet, she apologized. “I’m sorry for causing you trouble..” she told him. “If there’s anything you need, I’d be happy to repay you,” she told him. She then sighed. I really need to be more careful. I keep running in to people. I can see the headlines now. Irie Rin: Cant Keep her Feet on the Ground.
It was then that Rin got a good look at her savior. As soon as she saw his familiar face, her heart stopped. “Ai.. Aine…” she said out loud. Suddenly, the she covered her mouth with both of her hands. “I-I.. I’m sorry, I thought you were someone else for a moment..”
A painful groan escaped the tealette’s lips. “Ow ow ow…” It took him several moments to realize he was lying flat on the ground with a weight sitting on his stomach. Aine looked up to find a raven-haired girl laying on him. Then he finally remembered.
“Ah! Are you okay, Miss? That was very dangerous!” he gasped, rubbing at his possibly bruised stomach. Finally getting himself up, Aine noticed there was a small crowd of spectators who was curious about the incident.
“Nothing here to see here!” the man smiled, and gently shooed them, “We’re all safe!”
As the he watched the crowd begin to trickle out, Aine heard someone call his name and turned his head to the mysterious girl. Did she know him?
“Yes?” he asked her curiously, “Did you call out my- Oh no!”
His ocean eyes quickly darted to his fallen lunch in the grass; the macaroni and cheese now belonged to the ants. Well, it seemed he could never find the chance to eat the dish in peace.
