(AINE I AM GOING TO PUNCH YOU IN THE FACE LOL. OMFG. ALL OF THAT HARD CUTESY WORK AND DFASLJFSDIFJDSAKFSA )
Natsuki relaxed his grip but pulled Aine closer as he felt him lean further into the kiss. Their lips remained together for seconds, maybe even minutes, hours? He didn’t even know… he was losing track. He finally broke away slowly when it came time for him to catch his breathe. His emerald orbs, consumed in bliss, fluttered opened and met with Aine’s pure sea foam eyes.
But something lingered there. Shock. Aine was shocked. The blonde assumed it was from him piecing that all of this wasn’t a dream. Natsuki noticed the tealette’s eyes completely wash over with panic and he felt the smaller male’s muscles tense under his grip.
He was going to run…
His stomach dropped to the pits of nothing and his heart stopped. Aine wanted to run away right after he poured his heart out. His stomach clenched and with that, his grasp on Aine tightened and he held him tighter. Natsuki’s eyes peered down at Aine with worry and a slight twinge of heartbreak and a sheen of confusion that would more than likely turn to tears. His eyes always told everything he was feeling… and that was the one thing he shared with Aine.
“Don’t run,” he muttered, pulling Aine further into his embrace. Natsuki’s voice was quiet and hollow yet strong and desperate.
“I won’t let you run, Aine-chan,” he continued, panic setting over his voice now,“ I won’t let you go away to leave me with this confused feeling.”
“If you decide to leave again, I-I want it to be after you tell me for sure….” he trailed off as he loosened his grip slightly to look down at Aine with his obviously perplexed eyes. He didn’t understand. His beloved had just uttered that he had wanted to tell the real him and they shared such a passionate moment but now he wanted to leave him waiting again.
And he was okay with that…. but at this rate, could he wait forever?
“Please let me go, Natsuki-kun…” Aine murmured, trying to pull out of his grip. His heart pounded fast against his chest. He needed to get away. He needed to reassess the situation and calm down.
“Please…”
Why did life always twists around things for him, leading him to the most disastrous of situations?
Aine heard a sniffling sound and looked up to see tears fall to his face. The tealette widened his eyes again.

He was crying.
Natsuki was crying because of him.
His shining, warm sun had lost his smile.
This was worse than what had happened at prom. Natsuki was hurt and heartbroken again because of his selfish and cowardly actions. Aine clenched his hurt fist, realizing how much of a despicable man he was. He robbed someone of their happiness, when they wanted to show him kindness.
He lowered his painful ocean gaze, avoiding the tear-stricken emerald ones that still gazed into his heart.
Natsuki was still waiting for his answer.

“I… I do love you, Natsuki…” he started to answer in a hoarse whisper, “I loved you ever since I started to trust you…”
However, he quickly pushed away the blonde once he felt the other’s grip loosened on his wrist to embrace him. Aine stumbled to get up, and lowered his head in apology, finishing his words.
“But if all I can do is cause you pain and sadness, Natsuki, I don’t deserve your love.”

Quickly whipping his body around to wind, Aine started to sprint away from his beloved sun.
“You’re better off happier without me.”
