The light of the moon beat down on Cecil, silhouetting him with its white rays as the waves lapped at his feet. The refreshing kiss of water against his tanned skin sent chills up his spine, though not in an unpleasant way. The smooth feeling of sand between his toes was strangely comforting; the idle sound of waves drowned his thoughts with its constant metronome, and somehow, he found himself at peace.

Nighttime strolls such as this were a common for Cecil. As a cat, there wasn’t much he could do other than occasionally play with Haruka-chan, and even as a human, his fondness for walks hadn’t changed. Despite it being the middle of the night, he didn’t feel the least bit tired. Rather, he was more alert than one would think, and it wasn’t long before a shuffle and a flash of blue hair caught his attention.

There, sitting beneath a palm tree, was a lone boy who Cecil couldn’t say he was all too familiar with. He seemed distressed, or at the very least very frustrated with himself. Not wanting to be nosy, Cecil was about to turn a heel and head in the opposite direction. But the better part of him couldn’t just ignore someone who could be in need.

“Shouldn’t you be asleep?” He asked, unable to offer more than a kind smile and lighthearted banter. 

Aine heard a shuffling sound and he looked up to find Cecil of ST☆RISH approach him. He had already knew Cecil and the rest of the members of the unit from befriending Natsuki. He blinked up in surprise however, assuming everyone had gone to sleep by this late hour. What was Cecil doing up?

“I wish I could,” he murmured softly, “But nights like these aren’t strange for me.”

The teal-haired man sighed quietly and hugged his knees, still gazing back at the ocean sadly. He was tired, but going back to sleep was no option for him.

“So how about you? You’re Cecil right?”
