Author’s comments: Well, depression kickstarted some inspiration for me to start a series of drabbles.
The center theme of these pieces are “first meetings.” They reflect on how these certain meetings came to define and shape the life of the mysterious idol we know as Aine and the people bounded to him. Expect irregular updates but please enjoy. 🌠
Chapter 1: Meeting the Professor
//outofdreams; so recently one of my friends was able to summarize to me Ai’s memorial from ASAS “Hakase and Ai”. It takes place post-Ai route.
What I was able to learn from it:
- Hakase left his parents a long time ago and lost touch with them
- The only family Hakase had left was with his brother and his brother’s wife (Aine’s parents) but “that relationship had become neglected”
- Aine’s parents are alive, but “ever since Aine’s light faded, it was as if time had stopped for them.”
welp it looks like i gotta debunk that theory aine’s parents are dead but i’m glad aine has another home to return to

I don’t have anything new to say this year because you all already know well my feelings about Aine. Of course, I wish for him the best happiness for this year as well!
Even looking back through painful memories, I’m sure Aine is still fond of the happy memories he made in the past. The flowers he’s holding in his arms are the Iris and the Forget-me-nots.

now on to the story of how i started roleplaying him and why I identify with him a lot…
So after months of collecting screenshots of Reiji’s memorial, I finally took the time to roughly translate them thanks to Google Translate’s OCR and finding a Chinese translation of it. I’m not literate enough in either language (and probably will never be) to translate this word to word but at the very least I can provide and interpret a rough summary of his memorial. If anyone would like to correct me on mistakes, please do so! The link to the original memorial is here.
The memorial is about a memory Reiji mentions in his A Route in All Star After Secret. It is about the time during his student days at Saotome Gakuen when Reiji and his friends ran in a marathon, but ditched it midway to play in the river.
